Ayurveda

What is that

L'Ayurveda it's a philosophy, a science and a therapeutic system that has very ancient origins: we began to hear about it from 1500/2000 BC but many scholars believe it dates back to an even earlier era. Literally, the term Ayurveda means “science” (veda) of “life” (ayus)

This practice is used by millions of people; particularly in India and Nepal the 80% people report using Ayurvedic principles for taking care of yourself. In the West, however, there are still few people who make use of this discipline to cure their ailments or to maintain (and enhance) their state of well-being

Through the use of various practices, such as massage, it yoga, the meditation, adiet correct, L'Assumption of herbs and oils, Ayurveda aims to restore balance of the entire system body-mind

A constant practice of its principles then helps to maintain the newfound state of health.

TRADITIONAL AYURVEDIC MASSAGES

THE Traditional Ayurvedic Massages are based on repetitive movements that rub the recipient's body, carried out with the use of hot oil. So, yes eliminate toxins Well yes nourish the tissues, and balance is restored on an energetic level and calm on a mental level.

The oils used are different: depending on the specific needs, a mix of distinct plants and herbs is chosen.

The application of hot oil, the specific composition of the herbs and the use of repetitive movements are the three fundamental pillars of all traditional Ayurvedic massages. The beneficial effects of traditional Ayurvedic massage occur on different levels: the first and most evident are those on the body, but those on the mind and the energy system are not to be underestimated. In fact, the movements and techniques used are also aimed at cleaning and rebalancing the energy channels. This is the principle of the holistic Ayurvedic approach: by acting on the body we act simultaneously on deeper levels such as the mental, energetic and spiritual.

A BRIDGE TO FEELING

Through the touch of Traditional Ayurvedic Massage and other traditional treatments, a bridge is created, a connection towards the inside that facilitates connection with oneself and listening. The hot oil, in fact, acts as a relaxing factor, opening the doors for our senses to awaken. In this way you are able to become aware of something more than physical pain or the chatter of the mind, reconnecting with deeper levels of your self.

Furthermore, massage is a powerful form of meditation, both for those giving and receiving treatment and an opportunity to let go and purify.

The effect of the intention set during the massage can be highly transformative. By intention we mean undivided attention towards the recipient, on every level (physical, mental, energetic and spiritual). The operator is, in fact, an energetic conduit, a connection channel between the individual and another dimension. At the same time, we also work on the mind, body and elements that are part of each individual (ether, air, fire, water and earth). In this sense, during a traditional Ayurvedic massage, many more dimensions are made accessible to the recipient and put into communication with his feelings.

AYURVEDIC CONSULTANCY

The various types of Ayurvedic treatment are just one of the aspects that Ayurvedic medicine works on. In addition to these, it acts on personal care through lifestyle advice and correct nutrition, suggesting herbal remedies, specific yoga practices and meditations, guiding those who undergo it to make a 360-degree change in their lifestyle.

A one-hour meeting with Camilla, our Ayurvedic consultant, will be the first step on a journey to self-discovery, through Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the ancient Indian Science of Life which, with a holistic approach to health, supports us in maintaining or improving the state of well-being.

An important goal of Ayurveda is to identify a person's prakriti – the ideal state of balance – and determine patterns of imbalance (vikriti). Through the use of various practices, such as massages and treatments, yoga, meditation, correct nutrition, the intake of herbs and other remedies, this discipline aims to re-establish and maintain the balance of the entire system body-mind.
