Our Approach

WHAT YOU FEEL MATTERS

Coming back to yourself is a constant exercise.

The experiences of our past and our contemporary lifestyle have distanced us from our feelings, disconnecting us from ourselves. Very often we live our days "outside" our body, far from our emotions and sensations. This leads us to lead a restricted life, in which we feel little because we don't have the time or space.

The our practices are aimed at re-create that connection in us, which once existed and which we have forgotten. Like everything that starts again, especially at the beginning, this exercise needs constancy, support, Love And dedication. Putting our energy into the our journey of re-discovery and re-connection, with a strong and clear intention is fundamental.

Our weekly offers of Yoga, Ayurvedic treatments And Meditations are designed to accompany our friends on this journey: an element that must not be missing is the presence of a safe space, where we can lower our defenses a little and allow ourselves to relax and open ourselves to the deepest vulnerability. In this, theAshram offers ideal conditions so that we can begin to explore ourselves in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

With the intensification of the experience of self-exploration favored by Yoga, Treatments, Meditations and other personal growth techniques, a profound trust in what we feel and experience develops within us. Trust in our body and the messages it sends us grows from time to time.

THE SOMATIC APPROACH

L' Somatic Approach it allows us to learn to develop awareness of our body from the inside. Use this perspective during a self-exploration practice it's the key to make this experience a transformative process for our body-mind.

By allowing ourselves to feel our body from the inside, moving away from the surface and diving deep, using slow, mindful movements and taking breaks to balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, we restore our nervous system on new healing responses.

THEour body, Indeed, holds memory of unresolved traumatic past events. Because of these events, many of us automatically respond to everyday situations from these “hidden memories,” typically with fight, flight or freeze reactions. In other words, our nervous system continues to react to the past even when these situations no longer exist. In order to free ourselves from these automatic mechanisms and choose how to respond to situations in the present moment, we must transform the energy of the memories accumulated in our body.

Use the Somatic Approach as a perspective from which to experiment our practices, makes them a process of transformation and not simple "physical activities". By bringing attention and listening to our body, we release old behavior and reaction patterns, stored on a bodily as well as mental level, transforming them as we become aware of them.

This allows us to become truly aware of what is happening inside us as we do it, moment by moment. And awareness of these processes is the key to making them transformative experiences, changing our behavioral patterns from unhealthy to healthy.

At Harmonia Ashram, we use this approach for every Treatment, Yoga class and any other practice we offer.

BRINGING CHANGE
IN OUR LIFE

Once let's re-accustom our body to feeling, thanks to the Somatic Approach, we begin to give this experience a greater role in our lives.

Take care of ourselves regularly it allows us to feel better and therefore to begin to take responsibility for our state of well-being general. This becomes a virtuous cycle that unfolds a deep connection with self-love, self-respect and self-kindness.

The latter are the starting point for becoming aware of the life we really want and, from here, starting to move in the right direction, starting to attract and manifest from our Center rather than from the periphery.
