Because if Ayurveda is truly a path of the brave, then it invites us to really get to know each other, with sincerity. And that also means noticing when we are out of balance, accepting it, and acting with kindness.

Prakriti and Vikriti: Who are we really?

One of the most beautiful and revolutionary teachings of Ayurveda is that each of us is unique. There is no “standard” health model to achieve, but a personal and dynamic balance to recognize.

Prakriti it is our basic constitution, the original imprint with which we are born.

Vikrit it is the current state of balance or imbalance, which can change based on what we eat, live, feel.

Being responsible for our health means learning to distinguish what has always been “ours” (prakriti), from what is the result of recent habits or influences (vikriti).

It is not a judgment, but a mirror.
And having the courage to look inside ourselves is the first step to taking care of ourselves with respect and truth.

Understanding the concepts of prakriti and vikriti also requires familiarity with the three doshas, the fundamental energies that govern the body and mind: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Listen to your body's signals

The body speaks to us. Always. Only that often, caught up in the speed of life, we do not listen to it.
Ayurveda invites us to slow down. To become observers of our experience. And to note:

How do we digest?

How much do we sleep?

How is our appetite, our skin, our mood?

What dreams do we have?

How do we breathe?

Every symptom – small or large – is a message. Not an enemy to fight, but a precious guide.
Headaches, constipation, chronic fatigue, nervous hunger… they do not come by chance. They are signals that tell us that something is asking for attention.

When we notice signs such as chronic fatigue, bloating, slow digestion or a foggy mind, it is possible that the body is accumulating ama, or undigested toxins. There is no need to wait for the diagnosis, the test, the drug.
We can start right away, with what every day we decide to do:

Get up early and see the sunrise

Drink warm water in the morning

Chew slowly

Go for a walk after lunch

Avoid having a late dinner

Creating a Space of Silence Before Sleeping

Sounds simple? It is.
But it requires that inner strength that we call daily courage. That of those who choose themselves even when they are tired, even when it would be easier to let go.

Not everything is under our control… and that's okay

Being responsible to 99% does not mean being omnipotent.
We can't avoid everything: there will always be unforeseen events, illnesses, pain.
But we can choose How do we respond? to what happens.
We can choose to take care of ourselves even in difficult times.
We can choose to listen to ourselves, to get help, to never forget ourselves.

Ayurveda does not tell us that we have to be perfect.
It tells us that we can be present, true, alive.
And this, often, is already healing.

Courage is also… asking for support

Being responsible doesn’t mean doing everything alone.
On the contrary, those who are truly connected to themselves, knows when it's time to ask for help.

Whether it’s a guide, a therapist, a teacher… or even just a friend who listens to us without judging.
In Ayurveda, the therapist is not a “savior”, but a travel companion. A presence that reminds us of what, deep down, we already know:
that we can return to the center. That we can find balance again.

Health is a process, not a goal

Many people begin an Ayurvedic journey hoping to “solve a problem.”
But they soon realize that Ayurveda is not just a medicine. It is a philosophy of life.
It teaches us that health is not a point of arrival, but a constant movement between balance and imbalance.
And that every time we get a little lost, we can find ourselves again.

That's why it takes courage. Because Responsibility is not a one-time action, but a continuous choice.
A promise we make to ourselves: “I listen to myself. I respect myself. I take care of myself.”

In conclusion

Ayurveda is the way of the brave.
Of those who dare to know themselves.
Of those who stop waiting for an external solution and start walking, even slowly, towards home.
Of those who understand that health is not bought, but cultivated.
